USTA Junior Team Tennis

Teams: Orange Ball 10&Under, Green Ball 10&Under, Yellow Ball 14&Under.

Cost – $250 to be collected for coaching separately from USTA via Zelle.
Season length: 8 – 10 weeks
Shirt – complimentary Player’s Edge Tennis shirt
WTN ranked event
Team Tennis Format 14&U – Teams may include any combination of boys an/or girls (gender blind). Novice teams do not have a Sectional Playoff. Team matches will consist of:
• 2 Singles
• 2 Doubles
• 2 out of 3 sets, No-Ad Scoring. 7 point tiebreak at 5 games all and tiebreak to 10 points for the 3rd set. Tiebreaker will be first to 10 points, win by 2.
• Players MUST play in order of strength based on WTN ranking. If players are equal then coaches can move players around to singles and doubles
• Teams are genderless with no mandatory number of girls or boys on a team
Team Tennis Format 10&U – Any length of racket is allowed for team tennis play including Orange Ball. One can play with a 27 inch, 26 inch, 25 inch etc. Racket length cannot exceed normal USTA guidelines of 29 inches. The court will have two lines in all added. Two lines will create the 60 foot court which will act as each baseline.
Doubles Lines
Same sidelines as the full court.
• 2 Singles
• 2 Doubles
• Best 2 out of 3 sets. 4 games per set. At 3-3, next game wins. In the event of a 3rd set, tie-breaker to 10 points. No-Ad Scoring.
• Serving: Both serves are expected to be overhead and hit in the box to start the point.
• Players MUST play in order of strength. If players are equal then coaches can move players around to singles and doubles.
• Genderless with no mandatory number of girls or boys on a team
Coaching for the 10 and under Novice (orange) is allowed. For example one can help with the scoring, positioning, correct side to return serve and more. No Coaching is allowed during a point.

If your child has to miss practice for any reason you have to notify us 24 hours before practice time in order to receive a refund. Makeups are available throughout the session on any available Mon/Wed/Fri/Sunday.
